Lessons Learned for 2013
New year, new me blah blah blah, right? It's all you've seen on social media websites. The first month of the new year is filled with people trying to improve themselves, but history shows that a majority of these people will give up within the first week, just saying. Anyway here are a few lessons I've learned in 2012 and I thought I would share them so no one makes the same silly mistakes.1. Never land a tumbling pass with locked out legs. Especially if you have hyper extended knees, you will tear you ACL & meniscus and die. Pause for dramatic effect. Okay, you won't die, but it will cause you a lot of pain and suffering for a bit and your life will temporarily suck. So just don't do it.
2. Don't always trust drunk people. Yes it's said that drunk words are sober thoughts. But sometimes the said drunk messes up and gets their information wrong. This may cause you to be angry at people for reasons that were not completely true. Not saying that the drunk is totally wrong, but when you're sloshing around your info tends to get mixed up. Just don't believe drunks when they are drunk, not even your best friend.
3. STUDYING, shit. Okay, so if you look in my always interesting archive of what, 3 posts, you will notice a post about studying and how it is the art of students dying. Well crap, students need to die or your GPA will die. I have learned this the hard way. STUDY people, study. The consequences are bad. I seriously have to kick my butt in gear next semester.
I'm sure that I have learned tons of other things but I currently cannot remember them anymore. But I share a few resolutions/ goals of 2013. I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish last year.. guess how many I achieved... zero, that's right. Hopefully 2013 will be better.
- Function normal again. Being hurt is not fun. I need to learn how to walk like a normal person again, and get my butt back in gear so I can cheer again!
- Get all my tumbling back. That is very scary cause all I can picture is getting hurt again but with time I will return, but there's a nice possibility I will never do a layout on the hard wood again. Hopefully I can start working on fulls again but I don't know if this brain of mine will let me.
- Workout. As cliche as it comes. But if I'm going to Florida in May it would be nice to workout. This will be hard because I'm only allowed to ride the stationary bike..
HAPPY 2013
